Role Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Fraud and Compliance, the Senior Director of Compliance supports & assists in fostering & monitoring compliance with federal & state laws & regulations, other legal obligations, & institutional policies & procedures governing the administration of principal functions within company, other administrative offices/departments, & relevant subsidiaries associated with the organization. The Senior Director will help ensure applicable policies & procedures are fully documented & adhered to.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

  • Establishes compliance operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
  • Manage tracker for completion of corrective action, & all corresponding communications;
  • Conduct recurring monitoring of critical regulatory requirements & certification; assist in development, coordination & execution of compliance plans for business units, including managing regulatory matrix & controls inventory. Execute monthly & quarterly testing/process reviews of these plans.
  • Assist in interpretation of federal & state regulations, institutional policies, guidelines & professional literature; act as resource when clarification is needed; remain abreast of changes to pertinent legislation & regulations; research regulations as necessary & maintain office's corresponding tracker; complete and/or provide support for impact analysis of new regulations; disseminate accurate & timely info to community as relates to applicable laws &
  • Maintain office's inventory of policies & procedures & central repository of official filings
  • Track completion of corrective action related to incomplete or revised policies & procedures, act as resource for development & review of department's policies & procedures.
  • Track & assist in review of all communications across organization & centralize to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including websites, publications, & employee notifications;
  • Work with stakeholders to research compliance matters & recommend solutions, including assisting in collection of documentation, investigation, review, & reporting.
  • Participate in committees & task forces that require active involvement of Compliance Office.
  • Collaborate with auditing entities & other offices to memorialize all federal & state reporting, adoption of operating standards & effective controls, including implementation of defined policies & procedures, & tracking corrective action.


  • Undergraduate degree Finance or Accounting or related field of study.
  • Current CPA
  • An advanced degree is desirable
  • At least five years’ experience in an associated field
  • Must be knowledgeable of federal and state regulations
  • Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level
  • Experience building compliance plans and reporting procedures within an Entertainment and/or Technology company, or similar business.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong leader


Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
