Role Summary

The Usher/Ticket taker will greet and escort patrons to seats in an efficient and professional manner. Checks, tears or scans patrons’ tickets. Welcomes guests to the event and provides guest service and answers questions as requested. Ensures that the rules and regulations of the Arena are being adhered to.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS/ACTIVITIES SUMMARY:  

  • Greet and escort patrons to seats in an efficient and professional manner. 
  • Checks, tears or scans patrons’ tickets.
  • Welcomes guests to the event and provides guest service and answers questions as requested.
  • Ensure that all standard policies and procedures of the Arena are being adhered to.
  • Maintains the integrity of their work environment throughout their scheduled shift.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Must be a member of Local 176 and will possess hospitality and/or customer service experience. 
  • Will be outgoing and personable with the ability to solve guest issues in a timely manner. 
  • Must be comfortable operating a limited mobility lift.
  • Must be comfortable with heights.
  • Must be willing to rotate to various positions within a shift.
  • Aid guests with disabilities by providing wheelchair escorts and partnering with the Disabled Services group as necessary.
  • Must be knowledgeable to use a handheld PDA.
  • E.A.M alcohol management certification required (Training provided).   

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:   

  • Must be able to traverse steps.
  • Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.
