Role Summary

Primary responsibility of this position is to provide legal representation for Madison Square Garden Entertainment across all its corporate functions (e.g., Corporate Events, Finance, Procurement) as directed by the VP, Legal and Business Affairs and provide support to other areas of MSG Legal Department as needed.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

  • Serve as primary attorney for Corporate Events Department.
  • Negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial agreements relating to corporate service providers, aviation, and other matters.
  • Work on corporate development projects, including acquisitions and investments relating to MSG’s new entertainment venues and restaurant/nightlife business expansion.
  • Participate in special projects.
  • Provide legal advice and strategic thinking directly to corporate and business units.

  • Legal education and JD required; licensed to practice law in New York
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as corporate lawyer
  • Advanced contract drafting and negotiating skills
  • Knowledge of contract law, business law and related areas
  • Experience with technology transactions
  • Outstanding prioritization and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexible and creative thinker with a collaborative and business-oriented approach to problem solving
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Leadership ability, self-starter, and team player


Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
