Role Summary

The Manager, People Development will play a key role in the company’s employee, management and leadership development strategy. This role will be responsible for designing, developing and facilitation curriculum to build skills across these key groups. In addition, this role will program manage the Talent Review process which includes the design and development of the High Potential and High Performer programs. This role will provide ad hoc support to all People Development initiatives including training design, development and delivery, as needed.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

 The focus will be on developing, designing, and project managing implementation of the following:

  • Executes as the project lead and responsible for program implementation in the areas of the Talent Review process, employee, leadership, and management development.
  • Creates a clear strategy and detailed project, development and communication plans as needed to drive these initiatives.
  • Collaborates with People Practices key stakeholders and business leaders to manage the execution of key initiatives through gathering feedback, proposing enhancements and managing status updates on in-flight initiatives, tracking action items, deliverables, and escalating issues and decisions as they arise.
  • Plans, develops, and executes training and support on the execution of these programs, including the follow up and utilization of existing and new systems, and technology.
  • Creates a measurement strategy to understand successful implementation, behavior change and business impact.
  • Collaborates with business leaders and People Practices leading the implementation of the company’s annual Talent Review process, including the development of materials, facilitation of sessions and managing reporting and follow up.
  • Designs, develops and facilitates the annual Enterprise Talent and High Performance programs for the identified high potential leaders within the company.
  • Leads the design, development and facilitation of the management development program for all levels of managers across all companies.
  • Designs and develops a program for new managers, inclusive of the technical skills and soft skills required to manage the transition to managing a team.
  • Supports the People Development team in the design and facilitation of ad hoc training and development initiatives, as requested by key stakeholders and business leaders.


  • Masters degree preferred but not required, and/or Bachelor’s Degree and 5 – 7 years relevant/related experience in design, development, and implementation of organization wide programs
  • Project management skills: ability to manage multiple projects to completion by prioritizing assignments and workload
  • Ability to think and work independently and with cross-functional teams in a collaborative, teamwork environment
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills as well as internal consulting capabilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationship with peers and senior leadership with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable working in an ever changing and ambiguous environment – that means lots of change and quick, so you’ll need to be agile and nimble in your approach to work
  • Creative thinker – we like to do things differently here so bring your new ideas with you and have a flexible view on learning solutions
  • Pragmatic – we need you to bring some sound judgement on analyzing different scenarios and making decisions
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail – it’s really important to us that we get our people data right and keep it safe

Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
